WHAT WE ARE LEARNING NEXT WEEK
READING
I can use word solving strategies to develop new vocabulary.
WRITING
I can write to a specific audience.
MATH
I can add up to four two-digit numbers and subtract two-digit numbers using mental strategies and algorithms based on knowledge of place value and properties of operations. I can solve one-step and multi-step word problems involving addition and subtraction within 100 using a variety of strategies based on place value, including algorithms.
SCIENCE
I can trace and compare patterns in movement such as sliding, spinning and rolling. I can communicate observations and justify the results of my investigation.
SOCIAL STUDIES
I can name current public officials through listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

St. Ann's Thanksgiving Baskets
Every year, St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Coppell provides Thanksgiving baskets with supplies to cook a turkey dinner to those in need. If you could benefit from this assistance, please click on the link below and fill out the Google form as accurately as possible. Make a Child Smile
This program is sponsored by the City of Coppell that provides gifts for all the children in the family. This program is intended solely for children enrolled in CISD and residing within the city limits of Coppell. If you qualify and want your children to be included in this program, please visit the link HERE. The online form should be completed by October 30, 2020.
Valley Ranch Baptist Christmas Store
This program provides families with the opportunity to pick out 2 toys /gifts for each child plus socks, underwear and a t-shirt. Each family will also receive a Walmart gift card to help purchase groceries for the holidays. Please contact CHS school nurse, Beth Dorn for more information on registering for this program.. Registration will be October 11th and 14th.

WORLD DAY OF BULLYING PREVENTION
October is National Bullying Prevention Month and the first Monday of every October is World Day of Bullying Prevention. On this day students, schools, and communities all over the world go BLUE together against bullying. Join us to stop bullying and cyberbullying by wearing a blue shirt on Monday.
