An inclined plane is a flat supporting surface tilted at an angle, with one end higher than the other, used as an aid for raising or lowering a load.

- Ramp to move things in and out of a moving truck

A 500-newton cart is lifted to a height of 1 meter using a 10-meter long ramp. You can see that the worker only has to use 50 newtons of force to pull the cart
