Ann Reid Families,
Thank you all for celebrating your children with us at Parent-Teacher Conferences. You play a huge role in our mission to partner with families and the community to ensure all young children in D203 receive high quality play-based learning experiences to nurture independence, collaboration, critical thinking, and social skills.
Another "Thank You" to the parents and Home and School who donated gift cards and food to support the teachers and staff during the long evening.
Reminder: Columbus Day is on 10/11. Ann Reid and D203 are open, but some local preschools and daycares close on this day. Thank you for checking with yours and planning accordingly for that Monday if your child also attends another school.
Monday, October 18th, is our next Family-Child Event. Join your Ann Reid teams in the community to learn about how you can support your children in our Naperville parks. Then, join us later at Ann Reid for a Fall Fest put on by our Home and School. See the flyers in below.
Book Fair
We can’t wait to bring the joy of reading to Ann Reid with the Virtual Scholastic Book Fair from October 4th – October 17th. You’ll get to enjoy the magic of a Book Fair from the comfort of your home with our Virtual Fair experience. Kids can shop thousands of books online to discover new favorites and stock their shelves with this season’s most popular reads! We also receive 25% in rewards earned for our school with all purchases!
Starting October 4th you can shop to support our school! https://www.scholastic.com/bf/annreid
Health and Safety Tips
When you enrolled your child in school you signed a form verifying that prior to utilizing District transportation and/or entering a District building, your student will receive a daily symptom screening at home by an adult caregiver to determine if my student is experiencing any COVID19 symptoms. We are all busy, and information quickly changes. Below are those symptoms you should be checking:
- Temperature of 100.4 (or greater) degrees Fahrenheit/38 degrees Celsius;
- New Cough;
- New onset of moderate to severe headache;
- Shortness of breath;
- Sore throat;
- Nausea and/or Vomiting;
- Diarrhea;
- abdominal pain from a unknown source;
- New congestion or runny nose;
- New loss of taste or smell;
- Fatigue from an unknown cause;
- Muscle and body aches;
- Any other COVID-10 symptoms identified by the CDC or IDPH
Here are links to those forms for your reference:
