Get Out!.....Of Your Comfort Zone

"Kids are growing up on a digital playground and no one is on recess duty." @kevinhoneycutt, educator

In honor of Digital Citizenship Week, teach some lessons in digital citizenship:

Digital Citizenship Week, October 19 - 23

"You’re an educator, so you know better than most that technology is changing the way your students explore, interact, and learn. You also know that today, teaching students to be safe and responsible with technology is just as important as teaching the 3 R’s.

You’re on the front line of a subject nobody taught you to teach. But you don’t need to be an expert on social media, online games, and texting to have The Talk with your students. Instead of the birds and the bees, this version of The Talk is about how to be safe, responsible, and respectful online."

Device Equity....Where are we?

  • 8 classrooms have chromebook carts
  • 6 classrooms are designated as BYOD (bring your own device) classrooms
  • Kinder classrooms have at least 4 ipads
  • 1st - 3rd classrooms have 6 devices
  • 4th & 5th grade classrooms have 9 devices
  • every classroom has the powerstrips, headphones and mice requested
  • We will have 2 roving chromebook carts k-2 and 3-5 to reserve and use in classrooms. Leadership is being consulted about sharing of these carts
  • Let Kathy know if you would be interested in being your grade level chromebook cart organizer

Pre SST Form

When you have concerns about a student in your classroom you should fill out a 'pre-SST' form. This will be used for you to think about and monitor your student prior to referring them to SST. You will find this form on our SEES Staff Website under Response to Intervention.

More information about this process is coming soon.
