Colder Weather
As colder weather settles into Ohio, please remember to send your child to school prepared with a hat, gloves, and coat. We will continue to enjoy outdoor recess any day that is above 25 degrees, with wind chill.
New Classroom-Level Communication Tool
In February, Midview Local Schools will introduce a new teacher-to-parent communication platform called Rooms! Integrated with our Midview App, Rooms allows parents/guardians to access class-specific announcements/updates and directly message teachers all in one location. More information will be shared in the following weeks about when parent/guardian invites will be sent out and when teachers will begin utilizing Rooms. In the meantime, please download the Midview Local Schools App (if you haven't already!), available for free from the Apple App Store or on Google Play.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Mrs. Eppich's third-grade class discussed Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s famous, "I Have a Dream," speech and what it means to be kind, inclusive, and fair to one another. Each student spent time writing their own mini speeches, and together, they set a class goal to show 20 acts of kindness!
Holiday Door Decorating Contest
Mr. Keeton’s class had the chance to spread holiday cheer this season by participating in the 5th Annual Holiday Door Decorating Contest. His students created winter or holiday-themed door decorations. After, the class voted on the one they wanted to hang on the classroom door. Congratulations to Dillon Lucas for creating the winning decoration!
The class auctioned off the remaining door decorations to Midview West staff members and our central administration team. The class voted on a way to spend the money that they raised and decided to donate it to the Midview West Giving Tree. The Midview West Giving Tree benefits local families in the community who need a little extra help during the holiday season. Mr. Keeton’s class raised $500 thanks to staff, teachers, administration, and family donations. This was a great way to get in the holiday spirit and give back to our amazing community!
Mr Keeton's classroom winner, Dillon Lucas!
Mrs. Breha joined in on the fun and won Maria's door design.
