PowerSchool Weekly Notifications for Parents
Please see the instructions on how to set up PowerSchool notifications so you can receive a weekly update on your student's progress (please note: this only applies to EICS students in grades 7-12). If you require any assistance with these steps, please do not hesitate to reach out to Mrs. Damur, Assistant Principal at melissad@eics.ab.ca
The Email Notifications page provides you with the ability to manage your parent account email preferences, including what information you would like to receive, how often you would like to receive the information, and any additional email addresses that you would like the information sent to. Email preferences may be applied to a single student or all students associated to your parent account.
- Step 1: Log into your Parent Portal on PowerSchool
- Step 2: On the left hand side of webpage, you will find Account Management. Click on Account Management. A sub category entitled Email Notification will drop down.
- Step 3: You will be taken to a screen that will provide you with the options to choose the type of email you would like to receive, determine how often the emails are sent, and trigger your email notification to send immediately by choosing "Send Now".
We recommend that Parents/Guardians check PowerSchool regularly to be up to date on their progress and as a means to facilitate communication between teacher, student, and parents/guardians.

Chesterton Academy - Post Secondary Opportunities
Greetings in Christ,
Two items of note. First, I am sharing an interview here aimed at anyone considering post-secondary, particularly a professional graduate program like law or medicine. Here you’ll meet Michael, a former student, who did so-so in High School yet excelled in University and is now beginning a Law degree.
Check it out as it has some valuable information on study habits, mastering academic challenges in University or College, along with specific details on applying to Canadian Law schools.
Second, are you thinking about studying at a Catholic College in the US? Below you’ll find further information and offers for Chesterton students.
Hello Network Schools!
We want to take the time to update you on two exciting college visit opportunities as well as provide updates on the Franciscan Advantage Program and another partnership we have with Christendom College.

Elementary Classroom
Welcome to week 8 of online learning. Just a reminder to reach out if you need assistance with any of the lessons. I am going to be at an all day PD Math workshop on Monday, so there will be no google meets.
Take a look at what we are going to be doing this week.
Girls on Fire - Confidence Workshops for Girls
Now more than ever, girls are experiencing challenges in their emotional, physical, and mental health. Between the isolation of a pandemic to learning to live in a world turned upside down, the need for mentorship and community is more important than ever.
Our 8 week Sparklers Mentorship program combines mindset coaching, support for emotional and mental health, and an outlet for physical activity. Our goal is to help each girl find her inner sparkle - the Joy of being herself - and sparkle together as a community of girls who support girls.
Two locations: Sherwood Park and St. Albert
