Basketball Game Expectations
In order to provide the safest and most orderly environment possible at FISD high school and middle school basketball games, please adhere to the following rules:
1. School dress code applies at all school events.
2. Students should remain in the stands to watch the games and are not allowed to loiter/hang out around the concession and restroom area at any time.
3. Once students leave the game, they are not allowed to return.
4. Students’ conduct should promote sportsmanship and reflect their team in a positive and respectful manner. Conversations should be appropriate and profanity is prohibited.
5. Students should not have the following items or similar items with them: football, soccer ball, tennis ball, skateboard, scooter, etc. These items will be confiscated at the gate if brought to the gym.
6. Students must be picked up no later than 15 minutes after the conclusion of the game in order to attend future extracurricular events. Administrators will wait with students until they are picked up to ensure student safety, so please ensure that your student has a ride immediately following the game.
7. Students not meeting these expectations may be asked to call their parents to pick them up. Students may also not be allowed to return for future extracurricular events.
In addition:
Students and other spectators are not to bring food or drink into either of the gyms. Bottles of water are allowed in the gym.
Thank you so much for your support of our FISD athletes, families and spectators – we’ll see you at the games!
Congrats Nick!

Drop Off and Pick Up
Parents, please remember not to let your student(s) out in the outside lane of the front drive through. It is a safety issue, as your students have to cross a lane of traffic. It also slows down the drop off for everyone, as the outside lane is where cars move to after students get out. Please help us keep all students safe!
Students demonstrating their knowledge of exponential functions and linear relationships in multiple representations (post Zombie Apocalypse, of course).
Surprise! Thank you Clark PTA and all volunteers who worked so hard to transform the teacher lounge over the break!
Thank you Clark Admin for a wonderful pancake breakfast!

Canvas
Canvas is our new learning management system (LMS), and it is taking the place of Learning Hub, Google Classroom, and class websites. Canvas provides an online platform in which students can interact with course material and activities. As parents, you can be an observer in the Canvas courses that your students are enrolled in this year. An observer can see due dates, announcements, and other course content but cannot participate in the course. The instructions provided will help you get started by creating a Canvas account and pairing it with your students.
Students may have already had an opportunity to log into Canvas during their first week of school. Students that need help getting logged in can use the resources included here. Students must log in and get a pairing code for their parents to sign up as observers.
We hope that this new tool increases efficiency as we partner with you in your child’s educational journey.
