Message from the Principal
Hello there,
A few parents have asked about our Crisis plan. We do take your student's safety with the utmost concern.
Any threat that involves the school or students is escalated to admin. This could be through social media, teacher, community, parent or student report. Admin takes appropriate action swiftly and also then notifies the Dallas ISD Police Department. Through an investigation, they quickly deem if the threat is credible or not. Admin then responds appropriately. Should the threat be deemed credible or if a disruption occurs to the school day, parents are notified.
As far as reporting. We have the motto- See Something, Hear something, Say something. This has been communicated to our staff, teachers, students, and community. We also watch social media carefully.
The information is also available on the Dallas ISD website:
https://www.dallasisd.org/safety

Finally- Thank you for reminding your student to wear their name badge as a safety precaution. All students now have one and will be required to wear their badge when entering the building.

We look forward to a great 6th week of school!
Please contact your student's AP for specific questions
Ms. Williams is the 11th and 12th grade AP. (angelawilliams@dallasisd.org)
Mr. Price is the 9th and 10th grade AP. (alprice@dallasisd.org
Our protocol for concerns is to start with the teacher, then the AP and finally, the principal if necessary.
As always- thank you for the support of the school! This community of parents, teachers, and students is awesome to work for, and I feel blessed every day to have this opportunity. Our door is always open for questions, concerns, or comments.
Blessings,
Principal Smith
