The Pizitz Post

For Students, Parents & Families - March 21, 2022

During the middle grades, students are learning about who they are and who they want to become. As they discover more about themselves, we want to be the kind of school family that supports their individual differences and celebrates their uniqueness.

Acceptance was a student-selected character trait at Pizitz this year. We define acceptance by receiving another person as they are. Let's help our kids embrace this trait as we learn from each other.

Theatre and Dance Options for Next Year

We are pleased to announce that we have worked in conjunction with Liberty Park Middle School and Vestavia Hills High School to consider additional options for dance and theatre for our middle schools. We received a grant we will be utilizing to fund some new options for our 8th graders next year.

If your upcoming 8th grader is interested in participating in either of these options (dance or theatre), either as his/her elective or as an extracurricular at Pizitz, please complete the Google Form here. Course descriptions are included in the form. This is not a commitment for course selection. We would like to get a better understanding of student interest.

Lost & Found

Well, it is that time again to clean out our lost and found bins. Several of our Pizitz moms came to the school on Friday to organize our lost and found. Thank you, ladies! If names were located in items, they have been returned to the student.

All items (without names) are displayed on the tables under the awning in the front of the school. If your child is missing a sweatshirt, water bottle, book, water bottle, t-shirt, or water bottle, please come take a look at our lost and found display. After this week, we will be donating these items.

As a reminder, please encourage your kids to add their names to their items.
