February 2020
A Message from Ms. Cimino
We started off 2020 with many great events, including our Escape Room. We had over 200 students and family members take part in this fun challenge. Please remember that our annual Gift Auction will be held on April 4, and tickets are selling fast. Please send in your forms as soon as possible as we will sell out!
Now that the cold is here, please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately. We ask that coats and warm clothing are worn each day, students may go outside for recess or gym if the weather permits.
Please remember that if school needs to close for inclement weather, notifications will immediately go out via phone, text and/or email. Please make sure that your contact information is up to date in the Parent Portal. If your phone number changes, please update the Parent Portal immediately.
Note that closings or delays will also be posted on our district Facebook page, and on our website at www.btboe.org.

VISION SCREENING IS KEY TO HEALTHY DEVELOPMENT!
Vision problems can:
- impair normal development
- lead to behavior problems in the classroom
- interfere with learning
Vision functioning is a strong predictor of academic performance in school-age children. The typical student is learning through vision about 80% to 90% during the school day.
If your child is struggling in school, it may be a good idea to have their eyes checked by an eye doctor who specializes in pediatric exams.
Barnes and Noble Book Fair
If you want to shop online between the dates of 2/7 -2/12 you may enter this code as your Book Fair ID Number: 12586798. This will allow Potter to get credit for the online purchases.
In the store, shoppers just have to tell the cashier that they are from H&M Potter. The in-store promotion is only good for 2/7 at the Brick location. Shoppers can visit the store at any time that day to support our Book Fair.
Anyone can say they are supporting Potter school on that day for us to get credit. Please let any grandparents, aunts, uncles, or family know that they can help!
