Being CONFIDENT & Taking Academic Risks- Sept 24, 2023
CORE Champions- Don't SHI away from the Spotlight!
CORE Champions are Seneca's Honor Society. Last year's inaugural group performed over 1500 hours of community service to help lift Seneca. During the induction ceremony this week, we talked about strengthening our CORE (Confidence, Ownership, Respect, and Empathy), which is at the heart of our mission. We also talked about the true attributes of a leader. Although I highlighted Service, Humility, and Impact (SHI), our leaders had a plethora of great ideas to share.
Get ready, 7th graders! If you are interested in applying to be a CORE Champion and go through the stringent process in the spring, the hard work begins today!
Bounty Of Books
Take a look at some books you can access through MackinVia & ComicsPlus to help celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! Looking for books in Spanish? Go to MackinVia, Groups, and select Libros en Espanol. If you are in ComicsPlus, select a category, then choose the language you are looking for.
Any questions, feel free to email our librarian <Toby.Abrahamsen@lcps.org>

PBIS - Staff Of The Week
Ms. Harris came to us from Sterling Elementary this year and she is "all-in." Her positivity, contributions to the collaborative learning team, her willingness to plow into the IEP process, and her collegiality have been a huge asset to our staff this year. I have to get better about taking the pictures on Friday for students and staff. Sorry about that.
