Pollution
By Serena S. Shapiro
Litter in the Sea
When this turtle was little it was the victim of litter in the oceans. As seen in the picture the turtle swam into the plastic soda rings which it couldn't grow around or break, that in turn caused the shell to grow wrong.
Litter in the Woods
This poor bunny has some netting wrapped around its neck that was probably from some kind of net used for fishing.
Oil Spill
The bird in the picture was most likely trying to catch fish when it dove into the oil filled ocean. The oil that covers its body can make it hard to breath and impossible to fly and swim.
Pollution In The Air
Air Pollution
Not only is air pollution bad for the earth and animals, but it's bad for humans too. Air pollution causes asthma, COPD, and cystic fibrosis in people.
Water Pollution
There are many different aliments caused by water pollution such as typhoid, hookworm, liver cancer, and pink eye.
Land Pollution (litter)
Litter is one of the most dangerous forms of pollution because not only can you get sick but you can die. If some one steps on a sharp object it could cause lockjaw, and large objects (like freezers and washing machines) can trap young children and suffocate them.
