Fats do a lot for the body like providing energy and hormones. you wouldnt be able to digest food properly without fats. Fats can make you gain weight but if you have the right ammount they are a healthy part of your diet.
Major sources of fats
Unsaturated - nuts, seeds,fish, avocados and most plant based oils.
Saturated - cheese, meat, milk, butter, and cream.
What happens !
Fat-soluble vitamins are mainly in lipid foods like meat, butter and nuts. If you cut these foods from your diet to reduce the ammount of lipds you consume, you wont get enough fat-soluble vitamins.
Too much fat intake can precede to a lot of cardiovascular complications and can lead to obesity.
