Congratulations to our September HAWKS students! This month we focused on RESPECT and RESPONSIBILITY.
READING LOGS
I am asking students to read 20 minutes/night for 5 nights a week. (Total of 100 minutes/week). Next reading log is due Monday, October 7, 2019.

Vocabulary Words for the week of September 30th:
snicker: to laugh in a way that can show disrespect
glare: to look at someone in an angry way
mischief: behavior that can be annoying but is not meant to cause harm
tattered: old and torn
plot: planning a secret that could cause harm
torment: to annoy or pester
Students will also need to write two sentences using two of the following words correctly:
scowl: to look at someone in an angry way
lurch: to move in an unsteady way
havoc: a situation where there is much destruction
debt: something owed to another
