Human Immunodeficiency Virus or HIV breaks down the immune system. The disease can be transmitted through unprotected sex or just by receiving somebody else blood. 1 in 5 Americans are infected mostly females. There are no symptoms of the virus until it is fully developed into aids. once developed into aids the symptoms are soar throat, diarrhea, loss of weight and shortness of breath. HIV would usually attack the immune system. There is a way of testing for HIV called Elisa test. There are also medications that people can take called Cocktails. To prevent HIV stay away from anything that might involve anybody else blood who had HIV or Aids.
