Extended Office Hours To Support Enrollment

Extended Office Hours To Support Enrollment:

During enrollment season, Ms. Stepehnson will have extended office hours to help support families get enrolled for the upcoming school year. Every Monday- Thursday until May 1st Ms. Stephenson will keep the office open until 7 PM to support families with enrollment.

**During Spring Break the office will remain open until 7 PM on Tuesday, April 12, Wednesday, April 13, and Thursday, April 14th only. **

It's Enrollment Season!


It's enrollment season at JOW and this year we are going to knock enrollment out of the park! In an effort to assist in hitting our enrollment marks we are going to INCENTIVIZE enrollment by five grade bands: PK3-PK4, K-2nd, 3rd-4th, SPED self-contained classes

  • All students enrolled by April 23rd will be entered in a drawing for an opportunity to win a bike, a scooter, 5 tickets to a Nats game, movie passes, board games, over-the-door basketball hoops, and more.
  • It's enrollment season at JOW and this year we are going to knock enrollment out of the park! In an effort to assist in hitting our enrollment marks we are going to INCENTIVIZE enrollment by five grade bands: PK3-PK4, K-2nd, 3rd-4th, SPED self-contained and IPL classes.
  • The first class by grade band to reach 90% of all students enrolled will win an ICE CREAM party and PIZZA PARTY here at JOW and that teacher will win an additional GOLDEN GOOSE AWARD.



    As a reminder, all families can enroll online at https://enrolldcps.dc.gov/ . Any family that needs support with enrollment information, paperwork, the process, has any questions, etc.

J.O. Wilson PTA Virtual General Body Meeting – Tuesday, April 5th @6PM

(*Note that April’s PTA meeting is the first Tuesday of the month due to Spring Break.)


We are excited to welcome Principal Eric Fraser of Stuart-Hobson Middle School. Principal Fraser will provide a general overview of what families can expect as their students prepare for the transition to middle school.

Free Kid-size KN95

Free Kid-size KN95 masks are now available, along with adult-size KN95 masks and rapid test kits, at D.C. COVID centers in every ward. You can also get free vaccinations and booster doses. Save the Date for Labyrinth Family Game Night!

This annual event returns in person on Thursday, April 28, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. outdoors on the blacktop. Games, puzzles, snacks, prizes and SO MUCH FUN!

Save the Date for Cardinal Auction Night – Friday, May 13

This is the biggest fundraiser of the year, and we need your help! Assist the planning committee with soliciting donations from local businesses, updating information for the website, and party planning. We will also need on-site volunteers the evening of Friday, May 13, to help the event run smoothly. Please reach out to the PTA (jowilsonpta@gmail.com) to get involved.
