Majestic Memo

March 3-7, 2014

I wanted to take a moment to thank all of the parents, friends, and other family members that have helped the Majestics succeed this contest season. As you know, it was a team effort... and by 'team' I mean the girls and the parents combined. I'm not sure if I have ever been as excited as I was when they announced Four Points as the winners of the Grand Champion title. I am proud, and humbled, to be the director of such a mighty team. Thank you for allowing me to coach your daughters. I love every minute of it.

Upcoming Events

Majestic Line Tryouts

Majestic Line Tryouts will be held on March 18, 19 & 20th, before school (7:30-8:40am).

The candidates will be learning one dance routine, as well as some turn combinations and other technical skills, which they will perform in front of a panel on the morning of March 20th. As you know, we are a 'no cut' team. This means that if your daughter attends all of the line clinic practices, returns all mandatory paperwork, and is passing all classes, then she will make the team. Please keep in mind that Majestics are expected and required to attend the summer line camp, to be held July 14 - 17, 2014.

Normally we have a mandatory parent meeting prior to the line clinic. All returning Majestics and their parents will NOT be required to attend the meeting prior to tryouts. You will, however, be required to attend the scheduled uniform/practice wear fitting on Saturday, May 17th, 2014. See team calendar for details.

I will be posting more information on our team website by this Friday. See the link below for more information.

Majestic Officer Tryouts

Majestic Officer Tryouts will be held on Saturday, March 22nd, from 9-12:00pm. I will be posting all officer tryout information on our team website, as well as handing out officer packets during class. Anyone who is interested in becoming a Majestic officer must be responsible for taking care of gathering their own information. I will not be corresponding with parents regarding forms, turn in dates, dance requirements, etc.. Officers are expected to be independent, responsible, and reliable to complete all tasks throughout the year. This is how they show that they can live up to those expectations. You can support your daughter by checking the website and knowing what is due, and when it is due. Thank you.
