Lenski Weekly Update
November 4, 2022
From the Principal's Desk
Wow! What fun we all had celebrating Halloween at Lenski! The Trunk-or-Treat was absolutely fantastic, and our parade was a blast. Thank you to everyone who helped make Halloween memorable for our Lenski family.
We have many fun activities coming before we head into Thanksgiving break. Next week, students will share what they are grateful for and place it on the bulletin board at the front of our school. They are adding feathers to our grateful turkeys, Lloyd and Loretta. We also have our Veterans Day Breakfast next week. Our students are busy preparing to welcome our Veterans to Lenski. The week before our break, we will have fun throughout the week with spirit days!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Gratefully,
Jessica

From the Office
Tis the Season of Magic & Joy
Join us in the spirit of giving by donating a Walmart, Target or King Sooper $20 gift card to Lenski Holiday Outreach & stocking the shelves at East Elementary Food Market!
Let's equip the Lenski staff team to sprinkle Holiday magic and discreetly address needs as they arise within our own Lenski community. Should you be able, please consider donating a $20 gift card. Donations can be dropped in the Lenski Front office or sent into school in your student's folder labeled “Holiday Outreach".
Your donated gift cards equip the Lenski front office team with the ability to spread joy as needs arise within our immediate Lenski community year round.
Holiday Outreach gift card collection will run from Monday November 28- Thursday December 22nd.
Lets Partner with our friends at East Elementary to stock the East Food Market shelves this Holiday Season. Collection bins will be in the Lenski Front Entry. We invite grocery donations from the East Market list.

Calling all Veterans! Please join us for a Veterans Day breakfast on November 11 from 8:00-8:45. Sign up here if you are able to join us in person.
And/or, send photos of veterans in your family including the name, date and their place(s) of service. Also, include the name of the student(s) related to the veterans in your email. Send to rlessmann@lps.k12.co.us. We will honor our veterans in a slideshow that day.
RSVP for Thanksgiving Lunch
From the Counselor
In a recent mental health meeting, we discussed a way to engage families in dinner conversation with a fun and easy to implement strategy. The strategy for conversation is called: Rise, Torn, Bud. Each family member shares what their favorite part of the day was (their rose), what their most challenging part of their day (their thorn), and what they are looking forward to tomorrow (their bud). This is a great way to spark reflection and conversation about how everyone’s day went. We hope that you try it out and enjoy the connection with your family along the way.
