PE & Health Weekly Update
Week of 3/30-4/3
Each week, students are expected to complete at least 5 sections of the wellness board and log a reflection of their choices in GoogleClassroom by Friday of each week. Please encourage and participate with your student in an active healthy lifestyle during this time away from Hixson!
This week's 7th and 8th grade Physical Education and Health goals include the following options;
WGSD PE Goal 1. Responsibility - walk/run up to a mile (practice social distancing at all times and be safe).
WGSD PE Goal 2. Prevention and Safety - properly disinfect surfaces.
WGSD PE Goal 3. Sports Skills - Beginning soccer ball juggling.
WGSD Health Standard 3. Accessing Information - analyzing sources of information on the internet.
WGSD PE Goal 4. Fundamental Movement - yard work, create your own workout, Better When I’m Dancing.
WGSD PE Goal 5. Fitness and Wellness - kindness challenge, mindful drawing, meditation for teens, foot handshake, fitness challenges, tiktok leg squat challenge.
WGSD Health Standard 5. Decision Making - healthy eating for an active lifestyle, food myths, track and field fuel up challenge.
WGSD Health Standard 7. Self Management - time management tips.
