Electronics

PARENTS: Students will be allowed to bring electronic devices on the UIL trip. Any devices or items brought on the trip will be the student's responsibility. There will be times when the students will have to wait between events, so bringing to keep them occupied is a good idea. Just recognize the choice of item and responsibility of the item resides between you, as the parent, and your child(ren).

Good Luck to All of Our UIL Contestants!

I am so proud of all of our UIL participants and coaches, this year! The Fall is always a busy time within a school year but, our coaches and students have worked VERY hard preparing for this year's events.

Parents, thank you for encouraging your child(ren) to participate in this year's academic competition! Your support means the world to us, at HRE, and it influences your child(ren) in such a positive manner. In fact, research states that when schools, parents, families, and communities work together to support learning, students tend to earn higher grades, attend school more regularly, stay in school longer, and enroll in higher level programs. So, THANK YOU, parents!

Students, by participating in UIL, this year you have learned the following skills:

  • The importance of hard work.
  • Poise, self-control, self-discipline and confidence.
  • The importance of teamwork.
  • That winning is more than placing first.
  • That learning is an endless and thrilling journey

THANK YOU, EVERYONE!!! Good luck and best wishes on a successful event, at the 2015 UIL Event!
