Faculty NTI Update
Erpenbeck Elementary
From Your Principal, Mrs. Pass
You were given a huge task and asked to complete it in a very short time, and you DID IT!
YOU are amazing.
As you begin this new adventure, no matter where you are working from, remember that you control the attitude you take toward this challenge with which we are faced. I choose to be positive.
There will be setbacks. It will feel different. There will be glitches. But you can do this because you are a TEACHER. No matter your role, you are a leader, a mentor, a teacher to our children each day, and we need everyone at their best right now to face the challenge and ensure the kids' needs are met.
Thank you for leading by example. You are great role models for your students of what it looks like to be faced with a challenge and overcome it.
A Few Updates for NTI Days
I will be sending a daily newsletter to our students and parents every morning to try to give the kids some normalcy. You should get them through Blackboard Connect. Please continue to send Misty things that should be in the newsletter and the names of students who clip up or anything you would like on the announcements.
If you are working from home, you will log into Veritime to clock in. You can do this on the app or the website. Click on the link if you need help.
Sick and personal days can be used when necessary. Please contact me first so we can determine together what should be put in place for your students for that day. You need to choose the option for no sub required.
If you take a half day, make sure you are clocking in and out at the appropriate times. You need to enter the half day in Veritime.
Please be aware of what you post on social media. Perception is always important in our professional but can be heightened during a time like this. Remember, during school hours, you are working as a teacher! Please don't make a post during that time that would indicate something different.
Starting Monday, LSS would like certified staff to reflect on their work each day using the NTI Google Form. I will send you a link shortly. Please take a few minutes each day to document your work day.
You should have received in your email a link to the sheet Shannon showed you today that will help you keep track of your students. You'll have to make a copy before you can open it to ensure you get your own, fresh version.
Google Hangouts
Here is the video we are sending home tomorrow in my daily update for kids and parents.
If you still think you need paper instructions, let me know and I can type something up!
Google Hangouts start Wednesday. Try setting up a "hangout" with your team Tuesday. Have your team leader start the call and send you all the link at the time you would normally be doing the call with students. Everyone join from home and troubleshoot any issues you have.
