Some Christmas Traditions are that some people in Mexico eat tamales, get pinatas to hit it, and have Posadas.They also eat champurado. In Laredo, we celebrate by eating tamales, egg nog, and fruit cake.Sometimes they also built Ginger bread houses on the 25th. Some families open their gifts on Christmas Eve. Some families have parties on the 24th to celebrate the birth of Jesus and open gifts at midnight.
Food, Music, and Fun
On the 25 we eat tamales,egg nog,fruit cake, and chocalate.The music we hear is caroling or listeningto christmas music on the radio.The fun we have in laredo is going to shows and building ginger breadhouses.
What We Wear on Christmas
On Christmas girls usually wear holiday dresses with preety scarfs.Boys usully wear sweaters and suits.Mothers usully wear also holiday dresses too.Fathers usully wear sweaters and suits with ties.
How We Celebrate
We go to church.We have posadas.These posadas celebrate the birth of baby Jesus.We have dancers called Matachines.We reenact the birth of Jesus.Then have a party with lots of food & music.
