The San Diego County Board of Education periodically updates the guidance to school districts related to COVID-19 based on insights gained from additional data and science.
- The most recent update allows students that have exhibited COVID-19 symptoms to return to class after a Negative PCR test and 24 hours have passed (previously 72 hours) without fever and improving symptoms.
- As per the previous guidance, without testing, the student may return after 10 days from symptom onset when the student has been without fever and with improving symptoms for 24 hours.
- All close contacts will continue to quarentine for 14 days from the last day of exposure
- Close contacts, COVID-related symptoms, and positive cases should be addressed with Mary Brister.
