Charger Check-In
November 13, 2023
A Note from Ms. Owens
If you have extra Halloween candy that you would like to get out of your house, please send it in to school. Through November 15, we are collecting candy for local organizations who work with the homeless and new comer communities.
The new month means it's time for another article for parents and guardians regarding internet and media safety. I've linked two articles about Omegle - an anonymous chat site. I encourage you to learn about this site that has been around since 2009 and remains popular with teens and preteens.
- "Parents' Guide to Omegle" (from Common Sense Media)
- "Is Omegle Safe for Your Kids? Complete Guide for Parents!" (from Safe Search Kids)

The Scholastic Book Fair is Coming!
We’re so excited for our annual Scholastic Bookfair at SCA! Your student’s teacher will notify them of their designated day for the fair. Please send your child with cash, check (made out to St. Catherines) or credit card. You can also set up an eWallet for your students (details attached).
**Remember that 10% sales tax is added to the listed price!**
We will be raffling off three baskets for our students! Each student who makes a purchase at the fair will be entered into the raffle to win a basket of age-appropriate books.
If your student doesn’t find the book they want or if you would like to get started on Christmas shopping, visit our Online Book Fair website from November 15th – 28th at the following link:
