Welcome Back to School!

On Wednesday, August 18th, Frontier Schools was so excited to welcome students back! There were so many smiles and joy as our students returned for the 2021-22 school year.

As always, our priorities are student safety and academic success. We will continue to follow all of the guidelines laid out by the district for keeping students and staff safe and healthy. We are committed to providing an exceptional educational experience for all students at Frontier Schools.

Throughout the year, you will receive important information from our monthly district newsletter, emails, text messages, recorded messages, and social media. Please do not hesitate to contact us or stop by the school anytime.

Frontier CAN!

Frontier CAN! is our 2021-22 school year theme and initiative to celebrate the gifts, assets, abilities, and potential of all Frontier students, families, and staff. We are surrounded by greatness and know that recognizing each individual’s contributions to our community is a crucial step towards exceptional success.

Student Orientation

Orientation day was on Monday, August 16th. It was a very productive day for all 4 schools. Families were welcomed and had all of their questions answered. Families also got to meet teachers and staff, buy new uniform shirts, complete free lunch applications, ensure all documents and shot records were turned in, and much more.

Baptist-Trinity Lutheran Legacy Foundation Grant

On Monday, August 23rd, corporate boardroom trustees and members from the Baptist-Trinity Lutheran Legacy Foundation stopped by Frontier School's Central Office for a short visit and to present the school with a check for $5,000. The funds will be used to purchase Covid-19 mitigation strategies & disinfectant supplies.

Meal Program

Frontier Schools participates in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs. These programs are federally assisted meal program developed to provide balance, low-cost or no-cost meals to students. American Dining Creations caters Frontier Schools' meals. American Dining Creations is a subsidiary of American Food & Vending, which is a national food service company. Meals served are planned according to federal regulations under the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). These regulations are to ensure all meals are nutritionally balanced.

Meals will be free through June 30, 2022 under COVID-19 waivers.


The Kansas City Community Gardens (KCCG) has returned to FSI Elementary for another great season of harvesting! New and returning students have an awesome opportunity to learn more about plants and gardening with hands-on experience!
