The First Week!

Greetings AES families! We had a great first week back to school! Thank you so much for your patience as we refined our arrival and dismissal procedures and everything in between. I also want to thank you for the positive comments and encouragement. We are all doing the best we can for the benefit of the children, so your acknowledgement is meaningful and appreciated. These are unprecedented times, but together as a community of learners, we are moving forward. Our staff and students are living our core values - kindness, respect, cooperation, honesty, and grit. Together, we are bringing out the best in ourselves and others. I am very proud to be a part of this special community, and I wish you all health, happiness, and an abundance of learning this year. ~Mrs. S-H

Look for New Features on Pickup Patrol Next Week

Big picture

By now, you should have received information from Mrs. Edwards about registering for PickUp Patrol for changes in arrival or dismissals. The PickUp Patrol Daily School Health Screener allows parents to report their students’ symptoms and exposures to Covid-19 on a daily basis quickly and simply before coming to school. Next week, we will be activating this feature, and we invite you to participate by clicking on the health screening questions before 8am. Parents will use the PickUp Patrol app to screen your child each morning. You will be asked a few Covid-19 risk-related questions. Based on your answers, your student will either receive a response to proceed to school or to follow the provided instructions. By completing the screening before school you are helping us keep our AES community healthy and safe.
