Graphs of My Every Day Life
"You cannot open a book without learning something."
Number of Pages Read
Sometimes I get little to no free reading, but other times I read 500 pages in a few hours. Though you can't see it on the graph, reading often comes in waves for me, reading a book all at once, unless it is very long, like the thousand pages or more fantasy novels I enjoy. As you can see, I read the most pages in the last week, almost a thousand, in which I read half in one afternoon.
"Writing is an exploration. You start from nothing and learn as you go."
Words Written For Creative Writing
Because of a despicable monster called "Writer's Block," there are many days with no words, but with inspiration there are thousands. I did the least amount of writing in week 2 and on Mondays and Tuesdays, and the most in weeks 1 and 4.
"Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent."
Number of Minutes Practiced on Which Instrument
Another thing I am very passionate about is playing music. I spend the most time by far practicing on the snare, especially because of our concert, in which I performed all of the snare parts and nothing else. Runner up is the drum set, in which I have 30 minute lessons every Monday and practice sporadically throughout the week. Mallets aren't too far behind, with 150 minutes, then the bass drum has a measly 10 minutes.
"Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life."
Music Genres I Listen To
My favorite genres are usually divided between indie pop, which include some of my favorite artists like Kishi Bashi or Sufjan Stevens, and classic rock. I was raised on classic rock, from Fleetwood Mac to The Smiths. In the Other category, I have things like electric, show tunes, classical, even folk- genres that I didn't listen to enough songs of to warrant their own category.
