Dear SAS Families,
Oh, what a relief it is to realize we have arrived at June very much intact and thriving! Our God has blessed us! He saw us through some challenging times; yet, here we are! More than ever we are ready to enter the summer months gratified by the success of our students.
Parents, you have been valiant in your efforts to support your child’s education; whether that was in-person or virtual. It is because of your cooperation with mitigations that we were able to remain in-person for so long. We know this year has been challenging for you as well. On behalf of the faculty, I thank you for entrusting us with your child. It is our hope that we have served your family well.
We are particularly grateful to the parents on the Home and School board for enabling us to provide a Catholic education for so many. These women have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to raise much-needed funds that support our program. Fortunately for us, all are willing to go a second term! All parents are invited to attend one last virtual Home and School meeting on Tuesday, June 1st at 7:00 pm. Terra Nova results will be shared at this meeting.
As this year comes to a close, we must say farewell to several people who have become an integral part of our school community. The SAS Cardinals in the Class of 2021 are ready to fly! Their faith commitment, service to others, and academic achievements make us proud to say they come from Saint Andrew School! We are sure to hear more good news about these students in the upcoming years.
Four faculty members will be moving on at the end of the year. We wish Mrs. Pappano and her family all the best with their move to South Carolina. Miss Perry and Miss Downey are both returning to school full-time to pursue Masters Degrees in Education. Finally, Mr. Salvatore has been named principal at St. James Regional School. We were fortunate to have these dedicated educators with us for the time that they were here. May God continue to bless the work of their hands!
School will open in the fall on Monday, August 30th. The expectation of Chester County Health Department at this time is to have school open as normal- without mitigations in place. We hope to see everyone’s smiling faces again!
Peace and all Good,
Helen McLean, Ed.D.

Vice Principal's Corner
Dear Saint Andrew community,
As some of you may be aware, I was offered and have accepted the Principal’s position at St. James Regional Catholic School. I appreciate the time that I spent here, as Saint Andrew School has been a part of my life for the past three years. It has been a positive experience and time of professional growth. It has been amazing to work at such a vibrant and growing Catholic school.
Even with the pandemic, we all grew stronger together through the trauma, the chaos, and difficult decisions. This has been a make-or-break year which helped me develop many good, strong and lasting relationships in the Saint Andrew community.
I wish you the very best in all of your future endeavors and success, and I will keep you all in my prayers. I hope in these three years I have served you and Saint Andrew School and Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish well. I ask that you please pray for me as I continue to follow the path that God has called me to travel.
Goodbye, farewell and Amen.
Daniel J. Salvatore
