Strategic Plan Community Feedback Requested!
The Town has entered into its next phase of the Strategic Planning project. After the first round of community feedback, the Board of Selectmen have drafted Strategic Outcome Areas and are looking for feedback from the community on each area! These areas can be viewed below and feedback can be provided at GetInvolvedShrewsbury.com!

Board of Selectmen July 2022 Meeting Highlights
Annual Town Meeting - Article 44 Properties Declared for Disposition
Mr. Mizikar gave a summary of the agenda item. He noted that these were the four properties that Town Meeting Members voted to authorize the Board of Selectmen to dispose of.

Additional Water Use Restrictions In Place
Due to the current drought conditions in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Board of Selectmen voted to enact additional water restrictions.
The additional restrictions include:
- Filling and Topping off of Swimming Pools Ban: Filling of swimming pools or adding more than two inches of water to an existing filled pool is prohibited. Usage of children’s wading pools is allowed.
- Lawn Sprinkler Use Ban: The use of automatic or manual lawn sprinkler or sprinkler systems is prohibited. Outdoor watering via hand held device is allowed for vegetable and flower gardens, shrubbery, trees, and lawn areas.

Orders of Taking - Commerce Road and Lake Street
Mr. Mizikar summarized the agenda item. This item is related to the Annual Town Meeting Action to accept these roads as public ways.

DEI Update
Ms. Flynn provided an update on the Board's progress with the DEI training and work which can be viewed HERE
Summer Hours Operating Schedule for Town Hall
On May 31, 2022 Town Hall implemented 2022 Summer Hours. The only changes for the members of the public are to Tuesday's and Friday’s hours. Town Hall will now be open from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM on Tuesdays to better accommodate the public with expanded hours. Town Hall will also be open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Noon) on Fridays. There are no other changes to Town Hall’s operating hours (listed below).
Monday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Tuesday: 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
Wednesday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Thursday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
*Building Inspector, DPW, & SELCO Open at 7:30 AM
Town employees will still be working a full work week with these changes and will be available throughout the designated operating hours.
Please note that these operating hour changes do not affect the School Department, the Library, or the Council on Aging.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information
On May 20, 2022 the Shrewsbury Board of Health issued a mask advisory due to a surge in positive COVID-19 cases. The full advisory can be found here. For information regarding masks and face coverings, please refer to CDC guidance linked here. The Shrewsbury Board of Health order to require employers to report COVID-19 cases in the workplace will remain in place until further notice.
