Morley Nelson
May 2020
Online teaching is underway and gaining positive momentum! Whether your child joins us via Google Classroom/Hangout, our top priority is our partnership with you in your child's academic success. By providing known daily learning routines for our students during this time, we help children cope and stay connected with their peers and classroom teacher.
If your child has personal belongings left their classroom, you may pick these items up on Mondays from 9-11am. Please use the call button at our main front entrance, and someone will assist you. We are still offering chrome books and hot spot devices on Mondays 9-11am to access online learning.
Please note that unclaimed Lost and Found items not picked up on Mondays 9-11am, will be donated after the last day of school. Fourth quarter report cards and progress reports will also be mailed home after the last day of school on May 22. Students have been given the opportunity to raise their third quarter report card grade in their final semester, and no grading will be penalized due to COVID-19.
There will be no Summer School in session at Morley, but ESY (Extended School Year) by invitation only will be offered, and based on public health recommendations from the CDC. The 2020 ESY Summer Program will be offered from July 6 - July 31.
The West Bench Neighborhood Association (WBNA) is working with a designer to develop a logo for use on neighborhood signs and other materials that create neighborhood identity and branding.
Logo designs were created using the input provided by residents about imagery and preferences via a survey that was open for several weeks. From that process, three designs are now up for vote. Go to http://wbnaboise.org/ to vote for your favorite logo! Once the survey closes, the winning logo will be finalized with color. The next phase will be fabricating sign toppers to be mounted above street name signs along the boundary of the neighborhood association.
At this time, we would like to recognize our Promotional Sixth Grade Future Graduating Class of 2026! We are very proud of their achievements and wish them every success in Junior High School. Each student will always be a Raptor and part of our Morley family! Please give a resounding cheer for our Sixth Grade Class:
