Reading- Our focus this week in reading will be on theme. We will discuss what this means, how to find it, and how it relates to the books students are reading during Daily 5.
Math- We will be reviewing fractions and decimals this week. We have taught all of the standards for fractions and decimals and will be simply reviewing (no new material). Students will have a test this week.
Science- We will continue to explore magnets and magnetic fields. We have several science experiments planned this week for students to participate in.

Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert- Global Educator Exchange
I have shared with the students, but I wanted to share with all of you also. I will be in Redmond, Washington next week Tuesday-Friday for the Global Educator Exchange. I am honored to not only have been chosen to participate but also to be a speaker. Educators at the conference will be from around the world (20 US teachers, 280 international teachers). This is an amazing opportunity for me and I am very thankful for the support from Claxton to be able to attend this event.
In my absence, Ms. Watts will be our sub. Each day will proceed like normal.
Thank you for understanding!
