Building Unification Plan

We practiced our emergency evacuation of the building this week. These drills are necessary in the event of an emergency and evacuation of the building is deemed necessary by the building administration. All persons will evacuate and may be directed to an off-site location. If the evacuation will be for a prolonged period of time, require family reunification, or due to severe weather or other considerations,the school busses will transport students and faculty to the Living World Fellowship Church (9781 Fields Ertel Road).


On Saturday, October 1, Sycamore Junior High School PTO will host their annual Aviator Flight Fest. The day begins with a 5K run/walk and a 10K run at 8:00am. The race begins and ends at Sycamore Junior High School. First Watch of Harper's will be providing breakfast at the finish line for all participants, and Athleta Cincinnati sponsors a swag bag for all racers including goodies from our amazing sponsors. Each registrant also receives a long sleeve race t-shirt.

At 9:30 the fun moves inside for our festival. Games, food, prizes, music, raffle tickets, and an incredible bid-n-buy auction are some of the great activities you'll find appealing for families.

Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Fundraiser

Do you love cookies, pretzels, pastries and pizza?


The Otis Spunkmeyer fundraiser kicked off last week!

Please help support Symmes PTO by buying or selling cookie dough, pizza or pastries! YUM!

The Otis envelope should have arrived in your child's backpack last week. Check out the delicious things you can purchase!

We have lots of prizes that can be won. Take a peek at some of the prizes

in the school display case!

Order forms are not due back until Thursday, October sell...sell...sell!

“Changing Families” Counseling Group Coming Soon...

Beth Hill, our school counselor, is starting a group in October for students who have parents that are separated or divorced. This group will be called “Changing Families” and will meet weekly for 6 weeks. This could be a recent change or one from the past; all students are welcome! Children benefit from being in a group with peers who are in a similar life situation. Group members will learn from one another and develop strategies for managing their feelings around the change. Please call or email Beth with questions or to express interest for your child(ren).

Symmes Annual Clothing Drive

Please Help with the Symmes Clothing Drive

Starting September 26 through October 14th

Please donate your gently used FALL and WINTER clothing. All sizes- infant through adult would be greatly appreciated. Winter coats and shoes would be wonderful too! These clothes are used to help our own school community.

We will start collecting clothes on Monday, September 26-Friday, October 14th. A collection bin will be located in the school lobby for you to drop clothes off in.

We will start sorting clothes on October 17th through October 20th. I am in need of a few volunteers to help sort and bag the clothes, should you be interested in helping please email LaToya Goshen at or call (513) 207-9385.

Eat at City Barbeque and raise money for our school!

Sycamore Community Schools PTO is having a fundraiser on Homecoming Weekend - Oct. Oct. 7, 8 and 9 at the Blue Ash City Barbeque, 10375 Kenwood Rd. Flyers came home this week in your child's back[ack. You must present the flyer at the time of order to receive credit for the sale. Good all 3 days and on Dine-In or Carry-Out orders.Thanks to City Barbeque for supporting Sycamore Schools!

We will be tracking classroom box top progress on the bulletin board across from rooms 15 and 16. Each class has a rocket that can blast off higher and higher during the year. End-of -year classroom winner will receive a party.

You can turn in your Box Tops by taping them to the paper that was sent home, or send them in a small ziploc bag!

This year all conferences will be scheduled through Sign-Up Genius. Please make sure you are signed up for conferences.


Please remember to complete or update your Final Forms. The Emergency Medical Authorization Form MUST be filled out and signed before your child can go on any field trips! If you have not done so, click here.


Please remember to pay your school fees. ($40.00 per child) This site also applies to paying lunch fees and full day kindergarten fees. You can do this through Parent Portal.
