Upper Elementary Updates
October 14, 2016
What's Happening This Week?
Thank you to all of the families who have come in for conferences. We are always happy to meet with you regarding your child's progress in class. If there are ever questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.
In math, students are continuing work with algebraic expressions and ordering numbers least to greatest. They are diving into estimations and formulas and discovering the wonders of polygons and tessellations. As always, look at your child's homework to get a sense of what is happening in the world of math.
In language arts, students are continuing their work on their creative writing. Our literature circles are in full swing and the students are enjoying meeting with their small groups. Everyone is getting grammar lessons and diving into figurative language with their Junior Great Book stories.
We hope you all have a safe and wonderful Fall Break!!
