Birthday Celebrations
Hello, Hello Parents!
We have a lot going and sure can use your help!
PTSA will be collecting the $150 for those 8th graders wanting to go to Disneyland. Do we have a few parents who can help out after school? You will be checking off those who paid and we’ll be giving receipts. Checks can be made to: HUTCHINSON MIDDLE SCHOOL NOT PTSA. Collection Dates will be from Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday during the week of 2/27 - 3/3 from 3PM - 3:30PM each afternoon. If you can help, please email hutchhawksptsa@gmail.com or Text Stephania (562) 230-6450
PTSA has partnered with a local, small business, Whiffs on Wheels, April 10-21, for a candle fundraiser! Need a gift for Mother’s Day, birthday, or just for you? These candles will be delivered to school before Mother’s Day, packaged pretty and ready for gift giving! (Those dates allow Whiffs on Wheels to process, package, and deliver our orders.) $20 each and Hutch gets 50%(after production costs)! A great way to support Hutch and a local, small business. Funds raised will go towards “next year’s coffers”. PTSA wants to leave a healthy account for next year’s board. We’ll make this available online for easy ordering. More info to follow.
History and Cultural Faire is Wed May 17 from 2-5PM. Set up from 1-2PM, Take down/clean up 5-6PM. 6th and 7th Grade Parents, we really need your help! Click HERE to sign up for a booth. Just one a hour commitment, but if you can do more, that’s a big help! For those who came from Gardenhill and know about the Fall Festival, you know how much work was involved. This is a smaller scale, but we still need your help and participation. There will be cultural dancers, food, and games. Let’s make this a wonderful event!
8th Grade Dance is May 18 Thursday from 6-8PM at the beautiful Los Coyotes Country Club. We need a few 8th grade parent volunteers to help decorate, supervise, help at the check-in desk, and hang around afterwards to make sure all students are picked up. Please email hutchhawksptsa@gmail.com and let us know how you can help!
AND … we need you on the Board next year! It’s a great way to be involved, but not be in your student’s way:-) We want to be able to continue the work we have started, which is bringing fun events and givebacks to our students, meaningful, fun, and contributing fundraisers, and supporting our amazing teachers and administration. You will be able to shadow your predecessor and get to know your position even before you start. Let’s continue the work for our kids! Fill out the form HERE and yes, you can nominate yourself.
No school next Monday, and March will be a long month with no holidays for our kids .. So let's keep it light, encouraging, and fun. We’ll be bringing back popsicles when the weather warms up.
Thank you for supporting PTSA! Cheers to you!
Warmly,
Cindy Staples
Parents, we need your support
Dear Hutchinson Parents,
Each year the Hutchinson parents host an event for our students. Parents contribute to the event in the following ways:
- Volunteering for booth and operating shifts
- Sponsoring booths
- Joining the carnival committee and helping to plan the event
- Making posters and decorations for the booth
Our annual Hutchinson Event this year is a Cultural and History Fair and will be held on Wednesday, May 17th from 2:00 – 5:00. Please keep an eye out for information on how you can help, ticket sales, and event details in upcoming PTA newsletters and the hutchinsonhaws.org website.
In the past, Hutchinson has hosted a Halloween Haunt on campus. While it was VERY popular with the kids, we lacked the parent-power last year to hold it on a larger scale with more activities. We heard about it afterwards…The biggest feedback last year was that the students wanted more activities!
We would like to offer a Cultural and History Fair (Wednesday, May 17th), but need a group of Event-Hosting parents to step up and take it on. We have some things that can be used for decoration, but would need donations of much more. If you are interested, or have Cultural and History Fair decorations that you could give for the event, https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70A0F4AAEAC29A2FD0-hutchinson6. If you are interested in joining the committee, please email Mrs. Leon at tleon@nlmusd.org. We also are in need of volunteers to man the game booths. Even if you yourself cannot make it please try to recruit family members (i.e.: grandparents’, siblings 18 and over, aunts/uncles) Please sign- up below
