Units of Study

We have spent the last two weeks reading and researching both history and science topics. Students have participated in a STEM unit on space, studying the effects of solar weather on Earth. We have also read a variety of articles on the Women's Suffrage movement of the 1920s and how it relates to more current events.

Following our Thanksgiving break, we will shift our focus to geography and landforms, as well as the Great Depression and Dust Bowl.

We will be spending the next few weeks continuing to explore ratios and proportional relationships. We spent the bulk of this week using ratios to create scale drawings. All students were able to scale up a picture in class, and those who choose to continue may scale down a drawing for extra credit. These drawings are due on Tuesday.
