The Anasazi group
This tribe was the ancestors of Pueblo. They built dams, ditches, and canals to trap the rain on the canyon floor. More than 1000 people were inn this tribe. The tribe was thought to leave because of too many droughts.
Adena Tribe
This group lived near Ohio around the 700s BC. They grew squash,barley,sunflowers,and gourds. They made copper jewelry and pottery.
Hopewell
This tribe is also known as the Eastern Woodland people. They lived around Ohio in 300 BC.
They built mounds that were 40 feet tall and 100 feet wide!
Mississippians
This tribe came to the Mississippi valley in 800 AD. They mainly grew different types of plants, including maize and beans. There was so many people in this tribe that they needed more land. There was more than 10,000 people.
