Jump Rope for Heart if FRIDAY

Your contribution to the American Heart Association goes a long way toward helping us reduce heart disease, especially among children. With childhood obesity at an all-time high, the AHA is focused on instilling heart healthy habits in today’s youth so they become healthier adults. Eating right, staying physically active and living tobacco free are the building blocks to a strong heart and a long life. Watch the short video above, it’s a powerful reminder of the work we have yet to do!

We are hoping each child will raise $5 for this event online or with the envelope, return their sponsor form with monies and s/he will receive their first Heart Hero puppy, Super Pup, as well as a lanyard. Our school wide event will take place February 5th, which also is National Wear Red Day so please remember to wear red that Friday, wear tennis shoes, and bring a water bottle, Thank you for you support!

New Dreambox Math Program

Students have begun a new progressive math program called Dreambox. Your child was sent home with their password and login information (or see link below) and have also been introduced to it in class with their math teacher. Dreambox will now be assigned regularly as homework twice a week. Students are recommended to complete 5 lessons per week for maximum growth. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mrs. Kolodziej or Mrs. Connary.

Writing Assessments

Please note that for the next few weeks students will be taking, scoring and analyzing writing assessments to prepare for the CAASPP test. Attendance is very important as one day builds off the next so please try to schedule all appointments after school hours or at the very end of the day. We thank you in advance.
