A word on Uniforms...
Families, in light of the circumstances with COVID19, we understand that adhering to a strict uniform policy is not feasible for many of you at this time. Because of this, we ask only that your child come to school in clothing that meets these guidelines:
- Shoes that are conducive to walking, playing, running, etc.
- Minimize logos, pictures, etc. on clothing as much as possible. Solid colors, stripes, patterns are perfect.
- Ensure clothing fits correctly and is clean.
- If you think your child may need a change of clothing in the day, please send this in the backpack to school. We will have extremely limited supplies, and we will unlikely be able to provide clothing.
- If you are in need of resources, please contact the office at 253-571-1700, and we will work with you to get what you need.
What is Title 1? Title I is the largest federally funded program for elementary, middle, and high schools. Title I helps students, teachers, and parents!
A note from our counselors...
We have 2 new counselors at Edison--Ms. Slaughter and Ms. Haines! They would love to get to know you and see if you have any needs--food, learning resources, internet, etc. They have many resources for our students! Please take the Edison Student survey for 2020-21 https://bit.ly/3hUqpLq
Let's read a book! Click the link above for our book of the month!
BECOMING is better than BEING.
I have Bubble Gum Brain. I like to chew on my thoughts, flex, bend and stretch my brain, and expand the way I think! I make great mistakes that help me learn.
I have Brick Brain. With me, things are the way they are...and they're probably not going to change much. I am the way I am...and that's just how it is.
Meet Bubble Gum Brain and Brick Brain: two kids with two VERY different mindsets. Bubble Gum Brain likes to have fun adventures, learn new things, and doesn't worry about making great mistakes. Brick Brain is convinced that things are just fine the way they are and there's not much he can do to change them, so why try?
When Bubble Gum Brain shows Brick Brain how to peel off his wrapper, Brick Brain begins to realize just how much more fun school...and life... can be!
This creative story teaches children (and adults) the valuable lesson that becoming is better than being, which can open the door to a whole new world of possibilities!
Ready, Get Mindset...GROW!!
