Science News (Ward Homeroom):
This week we will be studying heredity and the Amaryllis flower. We will make predictions for what a new flower (offspring) will look like based on the parents, and discuss the different variations of possible traits.
Our driving question this week will focus on "Will all offspring of the same parents (red amaryllis flower and white amaryllis flower) look exactly alike? Why or Why not?
Our learning target this week will be: Students will provide evidence and analyze data in order to show that plants and animals have traits inherited from parents and that variations of these traits exist in a group of similar organisms.
This content will be reviewed and assessed the following week along with our content from next week (adaptations).
