Lego Movie Maker

We now have Lego Movie Maker for our Makerspace. Students can easily make their own stories with the Lego Story Starter Kit and then turn them into movies! Students can even add their own voice as narration.

Spotlight on Non-Fiction: The Dark Side of Chocolate

The Aztecs referred symbolically to cacao as yollotl extli, meaning "heart blood." The cacao pod symbolized the beating human heart, torn from the victim's chest at the moment of sacrifice. The association between the human heart and cacao pods may have relied partly on a slight similarity in shape, but more important, both were vessels that held precious liquid-blood and chocolate.
