Lincoln Bulletin- Random Acts of Kindness Matter
Today we celebrated the retirement of a long-standing lunch lady, Ms. Pat. She has been a constant at Lincoln, working for almost 25 years in our lunchroom. She has lived a block from Lincoln for over 60 years. Ms. Pat has bonded with our students and we wanted to let her know that she is missed and valued as a part of our Lincoln community.
Today during recess 4th and 5th-grade students chalked her walkway, expressing their appreciation. Our first, second, and third graders marched to her home just across the street and shared banners of appreciation, bubbles, and bright greetings on this beautiful day. She was so touched by the acts of kindness and our students were beaming as they greeted her. We have photos above to show the activities of the students, messages they sent.
I also wrapped the week up by reading two books to our first graders, if you have a first grader please ask them what the message was from the two books.
These types of activities are important ways to live our vision-
Lincoln School is a community that fosters a sense of belonging to grow as a citizen and a learner.
Lincoln leopards are respectful, responsible, and safe---Roar!
School Pictures
Color Portraits will be here next Tuesday, 9/29/20 to take pictures for all in-person students. We will be scheduling a retake day later in the year and this will be the opportunity for our remote learners to have their pictures done. As soon as we finalize the date, we will share with our Lincoln families.
