Financial Aid Night
Delran High School will host our annual Financial Aid Night tonight, Thursday, October 27th at 6:30 p.m. in the Media Center. Financial Aid Nights have become an important tool to communicate financial aid information to parents and students new to the process. These events can raise parent and student comfort, just as they raise awareness of the most important financial aid issues that must be addressed. A representative from HESAA will provide families with information on all of the Federal and State grants, scholarships and loan programs available through the FAFSA. Key information and requirements on filing the FAFSA are covered. The presentation is approximately one hour in duration and includes materials. All are welcome, but we especially encourage parents of seniors and juniors to attend. We look forward to seeing you!
Students of the Month
The winners were provided with two Philly Passes which grants them admission to over 40 attractions in Philadelphia over a 24 hour period. The students were nominated by their teachers, Ms. Sanchirico and Ms. Rubano.
Schedule Change for 10/28 & 10/31!
Congratulations to the Girls' Varsity Field Hockey Team and the Boys' Varsity Soccer Team who are in the state tournament and have home games scheduled. The field hockey game is on Friday, October 28th, and the soccer game is on Monday, October 31st. I have been asked to amend the schedule to allow students and staff to attend the games if they so choose. We will follow a Grade Level Schedule both days. The afternoon buses will arrive at 2:00 for dismissal. Good luck to both teams! Please come out and support our Bears!
Assembly Program - Steriods
What do you know about APEDs (Appearance and Performance Enhancing Drugs)? It’s not all about steroids. These include nutritional and dietary supplements that are readily available in grocery stores, vitamin stores, health food stores and online. The Taylor Hooton Foundation will bring us important, eye-opening information, a fascinating story and more on Thursday, November 3rd. All students will gather to hear the program during the school day. The community is invited to hear the program in the evening at 6:30pm in the Performing Arts Center.
Robotics Team Fundraiser
Our DHS Robotics team will be at the Barnes & Noble Maker Faire on Sunday, November 6th (the Maker Faire will be going on 11/5 and 11/6, but the DHS team will only be represented there on Sunday). In conjunction with this event, Delran Schools Robotics is having a fundraiser. A percentage of in-store sales on November 5th (Saturday only) and online sales from 11/5-11/10 will go to Delran Schools Robotics (to support all 4 Robotics teams). Please mention Delran in store on 11/5, or enter the “Bookfair ID” at checkout for online sales between 11/5-11/10. Delran Schools Robotics Teams Voucher

Burlington County Clean Communities Fall Cleanups
The Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders and Burlington County Clean Communities is sponsoring fall cleanups in our community on Saturday, October 29th from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. It is a great opportunity for individuals and families to be active within their community and enjoy the county park system. It also instills an appreciation for our environment. Individuals and families will take home a great message of where it is that litter originates and why it is important to dispose of garbage and recycling properly. Grabbers, gloves and bags are provided for all volunteers and light snacks will also be available. Students and volunteers can also earn community service hours! Clean-up Flyer
