Calendar Revisions
The Central Bucks School District has posted a "draft" of the proposed revisions to the yearly calendar. While this calendar isn't finalized, it begins to give the public an idea of how things are moving forward. Once the district calendar is finalized and approved, I'll be certain to inform the community.

Jump Rope For Heart
Jamison Elementary students "jumped" to promote heart health on February 21st. The students and community raised slightly over $5,000. Including this year's numbers, Jamison has raised $141,000 in their 10-year participation with the American Heart Association.
Many thanks to Mrs. Edwards!!!! Once again, Mrs. Edwards coordinated the healthy-snacks for the students and helped out the entire day!
Medication
Parents,
If your child needs to take medication during the school day, please contact Mrs. Canales, or the Nurse's Office, to discuss the details. It is the school district's policy that children aren't allowed to carry medication on their "person" during the school day. If you have any questions, feel free to email Mrs. Canales at mcanales@cbsd.org

Home and School Meeting / Chorus Concert
A reminder...the H&S Meeting was moved from this Tuesday (3/4/14) to Thursday, March 6th. The meeting will begin at 6:15PM and end prior to 7:00PM. This meeting's Parent Education topic is "What does the 90 minute reading block look like?" There will not be baby-sitting services available for this brief meeting. If need be, feel free to bring your children.
The meeting will be followed by the Chorus Concert which will begin at 7PM.
Author Visit
Brian Floca, author and illustrator, was set to visit Jamison on February 6th, which turned into a snow day. We have rescheduled his visit for Thursday, April 10th. Students in K-6 will meet Mr. Floca and he will speak with all grades about what it is like to be an author and illustrator. Mr. Floca won the 2013 Caldecott Award for the best illustrations in a picture book for his title Locomotive. If you ordered a book for him to autograph, they will be held until April 10th, so that he can autograph them when he visits Jamison. We are looking forward to his visit!
