CHARACTER STRENGTH: KINDNESS
You are generous to others and never too busy to help out. You enjoy doing good deeds for other people.
The character strength of kindness is grounded in the belief of a common humanity in which others are worthy of care, attention, affection, and compassion. Kind people think about the needs and feelings of other people, and then act to help those people. They help others because it is the right thing to do, not because they expect reciprocal treatment. Individuals with this strength might be described as caring, selfless, thoughtful, or considerate.

Students Against Hunger Food Drive was a Huge Success!
Thank you to everyone who contributed to our Students Against Hunger Food Drive to benefit Urban Ministries! Three cars full of donations went directly to their food pantry which provides a week’s worth of groceries to as many as 50 families each weekday. Last year, Urban Ministries served more than 8,000 families, including 11,000 hungry children. Thank you to the many parent volunteers who helped tally the donations each morning, to our parents who volunteered their time to transport everything, and to our 5th grade helpers who made loading up the cars very easy! And a special thanks to the Ressler, Palmer and Finucaine families for all of their time and energy!
Our Golden Can Winners are…
Kindergarten= Ms. Murphy’s Class
1st Grade= Ms. Castaneda’s Class
2nd Grade= Ms. Zawis’ Class
3rd Grade= Ms. Knight’s Class
4th Grade= Ms. Roll’s Class
5th Grade= House of Imagination
Thank you for supporting our U.S. Veterans!
This year our Pandas filled over 15 fifteen boxes full of donated candy and countless letters to send to our United States Veterans. Last week, a local Veteran with NC Packs for Troops stopped by school to pick up everything that was collected. NC Packs for Troops puts together care packages to be shipped to deployed military for the holidays! The candy and cards will be included in these care packages. Thank you, families, for supporting our efforts to thank our United States Veterans!

What is INSTANT FAMILY about?
When Pete and Ellie decide to start a family, they stumble into the world of foster care adoption. They hope to take in one small child, but when they meet three siblings, including a rebellious 15-year-old girl, they find themselves speeding from zero to three kids overnight. Now, Pete and Ellie must try to learn the ropes of instant parenthood in the hope of becoming a family. Critics are calling this "the feel-good film we need right now".
