Mrs. Kennedy's Friday Letter
August 11, 2017
News and Info.
When I say we had an amazing week, that is an understatement! Thank you so much for sending me your precious children. We are going to have an amazing year of learning and growing together!
This past week we did a lot of community building and getting to know each other. We also spent time going over rules and procedures. Did you hear about: filling buckets, chocolate explosions, Jesus Calling, Thankful Thursday, Ollie the Owl, and Number of the Day? If not, use these as conversation starters with your children.
This next week we will be getting into more of our normal routine, but will have one more week before we begin Spelling Words and Math homework. Please work this week on getting into a "reading at home" routine and filling out the Log in their Red Folders.
We will have special lessons this week leading up to our big Eclipse day next week. I love Science and I LOVE teaching at a school where we can give God, our
Creator, all the credit for His amazing work!
Parent Helpers Needed this week (reply to this email is you can help):
- send in cereal boxes that we will use to build Eclipse Viewers
- come in and help make us make our boxes
- come in and help with coping and organizing some papers
- continue to lift me up in daily prayers as your child's teacher
