WE made it to the last week of the 22-23 school year! I hope everyone has a nice, relaxing summer. Go outside, have fun, explore your community, spend time with your family and loved ones, and enjoy the time off. You deserve it!

Please take time to read the last few reminders for this year!

Medications:

If your child has medication on campus, you MUST pick it up no later than the last day of school May 25,2023. Medications cannot be kept on campus over the summer. They will be destroyed at the end of the day on May 25, 2023 if they are not picked up. Inhalers can be sent home in backpacks . All other medication must be picked up by an adult.

Looking ahead to the 23-24 school year:

Immunizations for the next school year 23-24

As we prepare to end this school year in just a few short weeks, we must look forward to next school year. I will be sending out immunization reminders soon for those students who will need immunizations or updated ROC’s BEFORE the start of the next school year. Please be on the lookout for these letters and schedule your appointments now. Once the immunizations are completed, please send the new updated record to the appropriate school nurse.

Medication forms have to be filled out every year. Remember that all medication MUST be in the original container with the prescription label in place OR a new unopened bottle of over-the-counter medication.

Registration for next school year:

Registration is open for the 23-24 school year. Please make sure that you go online and register for next year. New and returning students MUST register.

When filling out your child’s registration forms for next year, please make sure that you are filling out your child’s Emergency Health Card/ Medical information completely.

This is where you will let me know about any health conditions, food allergies, medication, etc so that I can properly care for your child while they are at school. This information needs to be updated every year.

New FREE Clinic resources for our students!

Lirios Pediatrics is a FREE clinic for children 0-18. It is located in Austin, but it is FREE! They have a lab, pharmacy, Primary care, and soon Mental Health. To be eligible children must have NO INSURANCE and not be covered by Medicaid or CHIP. This is a great new resource I wanted to share. I have had several families use this clinic and have heard AMAZING things about them!
