Welcome
This Week in Kindergarten
In math, we continue to review and Mrs. Meinel will start any end-of-the-year assessments for the report cards.
After taking a break from reading last week to create our murals, we are moving on with the Adventures of the Superkids (first grade)!
Our theme for the week is Recycling and the Environment.
Upcoming Events
This Friday, May 8th is a Lego Night from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Thursday, May 14th we will be taking a bus to see the play Stuart Little. The bus will leave at 9:00 a.m. and should return around noon.
Tuesday, May 19th is the evening of our Spring Program. The show starts at 6:30 p.m.!
Wednesday, May 20th is the day the whole center will walk to Liberty Park. Parents are welcome to join us! I believe we are leaving after our Chapel time, around 9:30 a.m.
Thursday, May 21st is the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL. We will take a field trip to Retzer's Nature Center in Waukesha. If you plan on attending with your child, please indicate so on the permission slip that was emailed last month.
According to the responses from last week's survey, the best time for the most people to be able to join us for a Kindergarten Get-Together is the evening of Wednesday, May 20th, or the evening of Thursday, May 21st. Since it will be an evening event, we will have a potluck dinner. Everyone can bring a dish to pass - Mrs. Meinel will be in contact with what each family will be in-charge of bringing. Thank you for your help and cooperation with this! I will send out an invite once we have decided which night...be looking for that sometime this week!
