Wyoming
Do you want to learn about Wyoming? The state motto is equal rights. The capital of my state is Cheyenne and the population is 493,782. My state bird is the Meadow Lark. My state tree is cottonwood. My state flower is the paintbrush. If you go on a vacation in Wyoming you can visit a Dude ranch. At Dude ranches people feel like they are in the old wild west and people sleep at Dude Ranches and you can hunt on your vacation too. You can hunt antelope, moose, mouton sheep, deer, bear and elk. The land forms are the Rocky Mountains, same flat ground such as the Great Plains and there are forests, lakes, rivers, valleys and National Parks. You can have jobs there like mining you can mine oil, natural gas, coal, clay, iron ore and uranium. You can also work as a farmer and a rancher. The History of Wyoming includes traders. White Fur visted the area in the 1740's. In the 1820's many people trapped beavers. The last interesting fact is there is a movie called Close Encounters of the Third Kind. It was filmed there. There is a National Monument called Devils Tower it was established in 1906. Wyoming has the first National Park and the first National Forest in the United States. The Native American tribes lived in Wyoming over 12,000 years ago. If you ever go there I hope you have fun. Written By Kyla
