Capt. Vitelli Addresses TMS

After opening our Veterans Day Assembly with the Naval Supply Weapon System Support Philadelphia Color Guard's parade of colors, 9th grader, Caterina B. sang our Nation's Anthem. Students read the Presidential Proclamation for Veterans Day and shared poems about the importance of our veterans. We welcomed and thanked recently retired Captain Vitelli, U.S. Navy, for serving our country and for spending his morning with us at Tamanend. Capt. Vitelli, a former Tamanend parent, talked to students about the history of Veterans Day, why it is important, and the impact that military service has on a soldier's family.
