GT Core 30 Hours and 6-hour Update
All teachers who teach GT students are required to have an initial 30 core hours of GT training and a yearly 6-hour GT update.
Advanced Academics is offering GT Core 30 Hours training and a GT 6-hour update through Canvas for teachers who still require training. They can access the instructions in this document.
If anyone needs assistance, please have them contact Angela Harris at angela.harris@gcisd.net.
Accommodations Trackers
Beginning Monday, October 3, 2022, Dr. Stevens will be checking classroom teacher’s accommodations trackers of all grade levels. These accommodation trackers were discussed at the beginning of the year, and example templates were provided.
Accommodations are to be tracked daily for students with accommodations under IEP, 504, LPAC, or RTI. Please prepare to have them ready for viewing when called upon next week.
Attendance and Tardies
We are doing a great job of taking attendance each day at 10 am. Please continue to mark students tardy as well. Your admin team is making an effort to get students in the building before 7:40 am. Please help us by counting students tardy if they are not in your room by 7:40 am.
Peer Visits:
It is time to start Peer Visits for this semester.
You have been assigned one teacher to visit and one teacher will be your choice to visit during your conference time. Both visits must be completed by the end of this semester.
Click this link for the Norms, Reflection Form, and Scheduled Assignments.
Please put completed peer visit forms in Mr. Canafax’s box. They will be returned to you at a later date.
